Keys Traffic

Welcome to Islamorada! We have one main road. It gets busy and it gets backed up especially in the spring and during any holiday weekends/weeks. Please bear this in mind when planning travel time to our Marina, particularly if you’re staying north of MM86. Delays are more likely for afternoon and evening departures as the traffic builds throughout the day but can occur at random times. If you’re running late, please let us know in advance of departure time.

Finding us once on the property

Our tour boat is docked on the right side of the property behind the tiki bar. We have an Islamorada Boat Tours sign on the dock. It’s a cool, small private members marina so it’s very easy to navigate.

Meeting your Captain

10 minutes or so before your departure time head over to our boat to meet your Captain. If you’re extra early, there’s lots of comfortable seating all around our property to enjoy while you wait! If you are early and you do not see our boats, please know your captains is just finishing up their other charter, they will be in and ready for your group!

Bathrooms

There are no bathrooms on any of our boats so keep this in mind before departing. Marina bathrooms are located upstairs by the tiki bar.

Drinking water

We provide an iced cooler with lots of drinking water. This is in stainless jugs with sanitized stainless cups. We welcome you to bring along your own refillable cup or bottle. Please join us in our efforts to #KickPlastic by eliminating/ reducing use of single use plastic items.

What to bring

Your own personal items such as
  • lunch/snacks
  • beverages, beer/wine etc is permitted in moderation
  • non-spray sunscreen
  • hat
  • polarized sunglasses
  • jacket/sweatshirt/rain gear
  • your favorite mask (if you have it along), we provide snorkel gear.
  • and definitely BYO towels!!

Sandwiches for the boat

We do not provide any food for your charter, it’s BYO. If you want to bring sandwiches, we recommend ordering in advance from the following local places:
  • Trading Post, an island grocery store/deli at MM81.8 call 305-664-2571 or stop in anytime (yes, open 24 hours) Known for deli sandwiches and fried chicken
  • Islamorada Publix grocery store at MM83.2 order online opens 6 am Known for “Pub Subs”
  • Islamorada Wine Co at MM80.9 305-923-1317 limited hours that vary Known for charcuterie boards to go and great wine offerings.

Important:

NO spay sunblock on the boats. If this is your sunscreen of choice, apply before arriving or in the parking lot away from the boats. Spray sunblock gets 10% on you and 90% everywhere causing slippery, unsafe surfaces.

Yes, it is customary to tip your Captain.

Standard gratuity is 20-25% of the charter total before any deposits. They just gave you their undivided attention for hours AND brought you back to the dock safely through a likely maze of islands and waterways! They work hard to ensure the boat is in tip top shape, gear is clean and ready, and that you have a safe, fun time on the water.

Our Marina

As our charter guest you’re welcome to patron the tiki bar before or after your charter, it’s a great place to reflect on a great day on the water. Hours vary but it’s typically open noon-8 each day. You also may enjoy the varied seating areas around the property, even by the pool. Marina Managers are usually on site, keeping the busy place running smooth. As it is a private members Marina, they may approach you to ensure that only members and guests are on property. Just let them know you are going out on a charter with us.is
